Crispy Coconut Shrimp
Half a bag of frozen shrimp, thawed, or a small bag of fresh shrimp cleaned and pealed. Make sure your shrimp is very dry before you start preparing them! I left mine out on a clean towel so any excess water got absorbed.
In bowl #1 add: 3 TBSP all purpose flour and a pinch of salt.
In bowl #2 add: One large egg, or two smallish ones.
In bowl #3 add: 3/4 c. shredded sweetened coconut, 1/2 c....

Ginger Soy Bok Choy
In a bag combine: 4 garlic cloves minced, 3 TBSP minced fresh ginger, 6 TBSP soy sauce, 1 TBSP hoison sauce. Add six baby bok choys that have been cleaned and trimmed and allow to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Heat pan on medium, adding 1 TBSP olive oil. If you have something you would like to tackle in the kitchen, but aren’t quite sure how to do so, please suggest it...

Royal Icing
In my opinion, this is definitely a holiday icing. It’s easy and delicious, and it’s real. Not like that ‘gel’ icing you can buy at the store…yuck. Takes a few minutes to make, this recipe won’t let you down!
In a mixer (or using a handheld mixer) combine 3 ounces of egg whites and 1 TSP vanilla extract, beating until frothy. You can buy pasteurized egg whites...

Homemade Whipped Cream
It’s the easiest thing in the world to do, and surprisingly many people still buy reddi-whip! This is especially great in the winter/holiday season. Add a dollop to your hot cocoa, holiday deserts, or just a little treat to dip fruit in! Who doesn’t love homemade whipped cream? Exactly.
In a blender, handheld mixer, or with a regular whisk (this option can take up to ten minutes!),...

So I basically live at my good friends apartment since my living conditions are… difficult. We’ve got a pretty good routine going here, every Sunday night we watch Life on the Discovery channel (tune in, it’s pretty amazing!). As of now, I’ve got some Matzo Ball soup cookin’ on the stove top (you don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy passover!). The little things in...
Today, I rediscovered my obsession with Animal Crackers. <3!
